ChatGPT 3.5 is free and can be used for finding information and basic tasks, but if you want to use the more complex GPT-4, there are a few ways to do it. You can look for a shared account, but you'll probably get frustrated because the limit is reached quickly with many users on it.

Only shared accounts. Kinda cheap but their limit is reached fast if more people are using them.

ChatGPT /OpenAI latest release of 4o1(project strawberry) has a per week maximum of usage even for paid subscription users. Unlimited Access cost $200 bucks a month. The cost is due to resource consumption per query. 4o1 is geared towards critical thinking responses or complex problem solving responses

before i upgraded i had a couple of accounts on the free version. when i reached the limit on one i would switch browsers to the other account... there was still a bit of a wait once i hit the limit on both but it got me more content. i suppose you could create a bunch of accounts and keep switching if you didnt have the funds to upgrade or share an account with somebody.
