Hi,
Yesterday, I got a warning from Yoast SEO plugin. It was saying that I should not use anchor text that is an exact match for the keyword that I am trying to rank the current article for. For Example. My page is trying to rank for the "best computer monitor" and I was going to link out with "computer monitor" to an external page that is what is a computer monitor. But I am only linking out for SEO purposes, not to rank the other person's page. So, since yoast said this was a bad idea I decided not to link.
Does this mean I am not supposed to put any part of my keyword in an external link text? I saw a blog and it was saying that anchor text does not matter for the current page, only the page for which its going to. Yoast is telling me it matters for the current page though.
