Hi guys, need a suggestion for a new project.

I have a client who wants to target 3 different geographical locations. So what will be the best startegy for that. Few options that I am considering are:

1. New domain for every location like .com, .ca etc. (Will this cause content duplication?)
2. Subdomain for each location
3. Separate page for each location.

Pease share your suggestions.

Pardon my English.

Thanks

1. so, 3 different countries?? Because if you're talking about different countries (and languages, too) then getting unique ccTLDs could help (well, it will definitely help if you also host each one of those ccTLDs on servers located in their specific country, and if the content is in that country's native language. These 2 do help indeed).

But if you're talking about different locations (cities, counties, etc) within the same country there's obviously no need to buy 3 separate TLDs, and in this case the best option would be separate pages for each location

2. you can go with separate sub-domains if you want, but keep in mind that google treats sub-domains as different websites, so you'd probably have to work and invest 3x as much to rank each sub-domain in its specific location than if you were to work on a single domain and rank its specific pages (because those pages - if set up properly - would benefit from the domain's authority and trust)

3. that's the best option IMO

3 different locations within the same country or different one? there are different strategies, multiple gmbs (depending on the type of business and if you can validate the address then you can do it), create location pages targetting that specific town, county, city, etc

If it's different country with the same langage, you can add the different hreflang attribute tag.
And a little tips : you can do some google ads in this country. Google will start to give you some natural ranking in this different country.

I have seen some tech sites likes tomshardware, notebookcheck etc. using different domain endings for different endings. Please check them. Maybe you could get an idea.

I suggest you to have separate page for each location. These can be the benefits of separate page for each location.
