@SEOspur given the sufficient guide for the link building technique.

You can use all kinds of backlinks from your niche relevant sites.

You should give more preferences on your anchor text ratio for your links. Branded and naked URLs can be used for homepage links. Inner page links should contain more long-tail keywords that you are targeting to rank. You can straight away start link building slowly. Advisable to start with niche real guest posts then niche post then PBN, web 2.0 like that.
Don't through many links at a time, use drip feed

Follow white hat methods as a starter. You can slightly mix them with black hat methods later. Neil Patel's tutorials and tips will be worthwhile.

I've looked at many noobs sites over the years, make sure your site is proudly finished first before you start link building, use social media every day, just one post on each platform is enough.

But please make sure your site actually looks good, otherwise how your visitors ever convert and make you money?

Thank you so much for this post!

This will be an incredible help.

Those are the days, where blog roll links & footer links on homepage worked well in terms of ranking & traffic!

It doesn't need to have articles, the blog owner often creates a list of links in a side bar or footer.

Imagine, Too many links or irrelevant links could be hurting his site & look unnatural right?.

If google finds your website links to be unnatural & spam. Soon after google punish the sites.

Hence, The END of blog roll link & The RISE of contextual links.

In simple,
Content + text links is called contextual links.

We have to write content & place links embedded within the article.

These are essentially 3 types of contextual links

1. External links I.e outgoing links
2. Internal links
3. Reciprocal links

However its important to use contextual links correctly. Else you will see opposite effect.

Don't use poor articles or
Don't link to poor quality sites.

To start building quality links on relevant blogs.

I suggest,
Guest posts!

Link building is a timely process. it takes time to obtain results but it is worth it.
Here are some tips

2. Ask for backlinks
3. Start writing good guest posts
4. Find prospects and build relationships

Start building links with the social networks and some tier links

Leverage your content consistently for the site

After few months start building Niche relevant links and you have to analyse the broken links too in between the process

It depends on your expectation, if you want short term results try pbns and for long term results try guest posts...
