How to start a copywriting freelancing career

Hello everyone
My friend has a 5 start reviewed fiverr account. And I was looking to start copywriting with him. He is ok with it. Do you know some tips on how to make it work in the best way I can? Also in your opinion how much money can one make in the 3 months span time in your experience?

I would advice that you just focus on delivering great work, staying on top of communication, and building up your portfolio. As for money, it really depends, but with some effort, you could probably make a few hundred or even a couple thousand in three months. But you will get there if you are consistent enough.

Oh ok, thanks for the advice. 6th say that usin* a fiverr account with 5 starts would help. As for money, my goal would be to get to 2000 bucks a month. I know it depends but how long do you think I’ll take for me and my friend to get there in your experience?(me and him are very hard working individuals, we’ll do what it takes)

Nobody can really give you a timeframe about hitting your income goal as there are too many variables at play.

With that being said you're going to probably need a way to drive people from outside of Fiverr onto that platform to get the initial business for yourself until you reach 5 stars.

I'd suggest using social media and creating valuable content about copywriting on all the popular platforms and drive people to your Fiverr link if they'd like to work with you.

If you're consistent with your promotion you could hit $2000/mo very quickly, maybe within 90 days or less, but like I said before this would just be a guesstimate at best.

It would depend on how much traffic you can generate, your gig pricing, your gig conversion rate, and other things.

I do know that once you reach a good amount of positive reviews Fiverr will start ranking up your posting on their search engine and you'll begin to get more and more clients from directly within the Fiverr platform.

You'll need to start offering your services for dirty cheap prices to attract new customers, acquire some reviews and build some reputation. Without reviews, you won't be able to scale it and become a major freelancer in those super competitive platforms like Fiverr

Start small with niche projects, focus on building a strong portfolio, and set realistic earnings goals for the first few months.

It's a dying profession, many projects and companies I know have moved on to completely rely on AI to write anything and everything. If you want to specialize in copywriting, I would recommend mastering prompt engineering for writing many types, styles and variations of content for your clients, and having incredibly fast delivery. That's the only way I see this profession surviving any more time at all

Take building your portfolio personal first to gather enough results because that is what your clients want to see first to know if you are capable. If you have good records and results, they wont under-charge you because they know you are delivering great value.

If you have not much result yet, find your target audience to pitch to and work for them for free and in return they should give you free review, then use the review to build your portfolio
