How would you go about getting insights on any account's followers? I'm interested in locations and age groups. Is there a tool out there? Thank you!

I tried buzzweb.pro before. Its relatively accurate (tried it on my own account). Another way you could go about it is dming them and asking about a promo post but say you want to see their insights first, that might work too

No way to find out, you can only take a educated guess, based on their engaging followers and niche/audience.

I'd say do it manually. Get a dummy account and see how they interact with pages. You should also try what everyone else has said as well, because there could be some software that makes your life easier.

Create a dummy account and follow them . See their post and who was like their post . Target them and go to their profile and research. You can also try socialblade, buzzweb.
