A lot of people guard the secret of where they get their content pretty tightly, because it can become saturated vert quickly.
You can always just repost content from other Instagram/facebook accounts, but, at least in my opinion, this is one of the lowest quality of content. If you're taking it from popular pages, then chances are your audience has already seen it.
You're best bet is to find it on other image-heavy social media sites, like reddit, pinterest, and flickr. That way you can find relevant content fast easily. In half a day I was able to find 500+ images using pinterest for my Insta accounts.
As far as hashtags go, I use some custom software made by @mihai1497. It allows me to scrape hashtags along with their post count so I can gauge the competition.
