One of the most common questions among traffic arbitrage specialists is: why is it now impossible to transfer a Facebook Pixel directly to another Business Manager (BM)?
Here’s the explanation: it’s not possible because Meta has switched to a new event management format. There is a common container — the Dataset, which collects clicks and conversions through both the Pixel and CAPI. The Pixel is part of this overall system, so it can’t be created or transferred separately.

After that, everything works just like with the main BM: assign an admin and make it operational for ad accounts.
The Pixel is now ready to collect analytics for your offer.
Here’s the explanation: it’s not possible because Meta has switched to a new event management format. There is a common container — the Dataset, which collects clicks and conversions through both the Pixel and CAPI. The Pixel is part of this overall system, so it can’t be created or transferred separately.
However, there is a way to share a Pixel, though it requires a few extra steps:
- Go to the king account on the main working BM, then navigate to Data Sources / Datasets.
- Create a working Pixel and name it not after the offer, but by GEO and vertical.
This is useful if you plan to continue running campaigns in the same GEO. You will already have a trained Pixel with accumulated data across different events.
- Connect the Conversion API (CAPI) and perform its preliminary setup.
- Go to the BM with ad accounts configured for your campaign. Navigate to Business Information and copy your BM ID.
- Return to the king account BM, open the Pixel you created, and select Assign Partners. Enter the partner BM ID and give them full control of the Pixel.
- Assign the partner BM as an agency for your Pixel and send the request.
- Accept the request, agreeing to Facebook’s terms.
After that, everything works just like with the main BM: assign an admin and make it operational for ad accounts.
