Currently, I cannot find a way to send messages that does not end up in the hidden "Other" folder. The only way is that you become friends and then send the message. I have tried to send a friend request and then send the message but it still ends up in the Other folder (unless if I send the message after the friend request has been accepted).

If you do not know already, users do not receive a new message notification if the message ends up in the Other folder. The only way that they will discover it is by clicking on their messages and then clicking on the Other sub-folder.

There must be some type of workaround for this very annoying issue. If you have a solution, please share.

Unfortunately, Parlez solution was not exactly what I was asking. Do anyone else have a workaround to this issue? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post it publicly.

same problem on my site. its not possible. but i found out, this happens only if their less friends together, if you have many friends it go normal.
another good thing is, that on mobile site, all messages are viewable

You are incorrect about the mobile users, they have an Other folder too and the messages end up there too. Also, I don't think having more friends will do any difference. I just tried this on an account that has around 3000 friends and the message ended up on the Other folder as suspected :(
Do anyone have a workaround?

sorry yes ur right, thought talkin about messages from event page -.-
but on mobile side ur not correct. their is no other box. if using m.f...b..com if your using some apps, i dont know. facebook self app have no box too.
only one box and all messages are going in.

No I am correct. Let me prove it to you. Login to your facebook account, then visit this page on Firefox (its different depending on your browser):
https://m.facebook.com/messages
Then go to the bottom of the screen and you will find the link to the Other folder :)

This problem is still left unsolved. Do anyone have any solutions?

Bringing back this to everyones attention, anyone that knows a solution?

i would like also to have a solution of this problem ...but how .. may be if your have mutual ok but if not it will be on Other messages Box :S :S :S S if u have a solution tell me

don't think there's a way around this as facebook collects money in order to move the messages form others to inbox

If you email them by uploading a csv file is still ending up in the other folder.
So here`s my solution I send everyday around 4k of emails using my fan page an I hoping that someday the users will go to other. :))

I send mails instead of sending PM in FB. No other way to do it..
