How to request a name already taken on instagram?

Hi all
i have a client with a business called (es) whiteblack.
The IG name is whiteblack_ cause the original one was already taken when they get on instagram.
Actually the "whiteblack" account is inactive and i would like to know if there is a way to get that name.
I saw people claming to be "facebook partners" who offer the service i need at 1000-1500€ but i dunno if this is real or not, or if i can do this by myself.

Forget about the name and move on & don't believe people when they say they're "facebook partners" charging 1-1.5k€
 
Then take -whiteblack_, _white_black_, __whiteblack__, whiteblack__ it really doesnt matter that much.

"facebook partners" will 99,9 % scam you so don't go for it. There was a method back in the days to claim inactive accounts on IG (yes I profited from it woohoo :D ) but it got patched like 2 years ago.
My best suggestion is to move on and chose a similar name like @Billy_Batts suggested.

P.S @Billy_Batts I can edit my posts here, nothing wrong.

Not true sir, in many sections I can delete and edit just not here :)

I just wondered if it was possibile to claim the "official" one.

Claiming means something you have a right on so no you can't claim anything, you could try to contact the owner and make him an offer but again, it really isn't a big deal on IG, your profile photo is more important.

What is a "FAIR" price to offer for the name in your opinion?
The original one was about a brazilian tecno rave. They don't upload a pic since 2015

I don't know as every time the name I wanted was taken I would just take a variation if it's really that important I would start low $50 or so, that's a lot more in Brazil than it is in tier 1 countries.
 
I think i got a deal.
In this situation i just need to ask them to change their name and i will be able instantly to get the original one?
 
@Billy_Batts - was it just in this section you've had problems editing your posts or have you noticed it anywhere else?
