There are millions of so-called gurus teaching this thing and making it seem as complex as possible.
I started a few pages a few months ago in different niches. There’s wealth, a few hot chicks accounts, skateboarding, supplements.
My biggest account is a hot chicks account that has nearly 2000 followers. Chicks send me their content and I post free shoutouts. That may change once I hit 10k followers — then I’ll brainstorm how to monetize it.
None of my accounts has a link in bio. 100% focus on building an audience. Very simple approach: I just post a pic with a tag of the original creator. No captions or hashtags. Just image, and that’s it. I post 3–4 times per day. Getting a lot of views, so things are going smoothly. Biggest struggle currently is keeping my account clean — no restrictions due to overly sexual content. Sometimes my account gets flagged, but usually it’s just bots making mistakes, and I get everything back after a manual check. Sometimes I have to remove some pics because of that, but not a big problem. Once I get restrictions, I stop posting and wait until they’re gone, then keep going.
I started it first by posting random pics from the internet. When the account grew a little bit, I started getting threats about reporting me to the police. Once that happened, I KNEW I was doing something right. I was definitely doing something right since I started to get some attention. Of course, I deleted all those pics immediately. But one day I started getting many of those, I panicked a little bit because those bitches were pretty angry, lol. Then I decided to delete ALL stolen pics. That was a milestone where I realized that this thing really works. I never approached anyone to ask if I can post their content. I announce in my profile that I offer free promotion, so chicks voluntarily send their content to post. So easy.
Another hot chick account is AI chicks (on a specific niche). I’m planning to monetize that with Fanvue later, maybe. We’ll see. Very simple too. I generate images with ChatGPT, then post. Again, no descriptions or hashtags. Growing steadily. Of course, IG doesn’t seem that friendly with this type of content, but it still grows little by little.
Other theme pages are not jerking-off-related. I search for popular Creative Commons videos from YouTube, then add a simple filter. Takes a few seconds. Then I post. Only text is "credit: username | YouTube." Wealth niche theme pages work the best. Even if I don’t get a lot of views for my content, I get a lot of followers. Once again, my milestone is to reach 10k followers. After that, I’ll delete all those “stolen” videos to avoid copyright shit (even though they are Creative Commons, there’s still a risk). Then I’ll start producing my own content — or actually hire someone to do that.
There are some things I still need to learn.
Monetization is a question mark. I could sell paid shoutouts on the hot chick account, but it seems like too much hassle. Especially because IG, for no damn reason, might flag the content. Then I’d have to remove it, and if someone paid for the shoutout, I’d need to give the money back. Maybe I’ll post only paid story posts? One option is just to accept those limitations, but I want to keep it as legit as possible — not too porn. So I’ll probably just monetize it by adding a link to my profile and sell sponsored posts for companies. I want to get as much visibility as possible since I also want to promote my other channels. Not gonna put all my eggs in one basket. IG can sooner or later delete my account, or I might get hacked or some other shit and lose everything. So I’m building an email list or opening a separate website, so I’ve got some kind of safety net and still have an audience even if IG decides to fuck me in the ass.
My skateboarding page is interesting. It started super well and got a few viral videos. In the beginning, I gained followers like a maniac. Super high engagement, and skateboarders tend to spend a lot of money on equipment. But then one day everything stopped. I stopped getting new followers, even though the content had the same amount of engagement as usual. Even that one viral video that got 20k views and lots of likes and comments gave me only a few followers. I don’t know what happened.
I’m not a skateboarder, but my friend is, and I post mostly his videos. Now I do the same as mentioned earlier: I post Creative Commons (with credit, of course) videos. But this is a bit harder to maintain once I hit 10k followers and have to remove all the stolen videos, since there’s no marketplace to buy skateboarding content for this kind of purpose (or at least I don’t know any). But maybe at that phase I could do the same as with the hot chick account and offer free or paid shoutouts for other skateboarders. Monetization is at least easier with this theme — I can do affiliate marketing for skate stores, sell skateboarding merch, etc.
But the niche I’m most passionate about is also the hardest: industrial hemp. No, it’s not medicinal cannabis or drug-related. Industrial hemp is supplements like vegan omega oil, hemp fiber, hemp clothing, etc. IG (and especially TikTok) are super nazis about this. They flag all the content just because it’s hemp. They flag my post when I’m just describing the process of making hemp fabric or talking about the health benefits of hemp seed oil, hemp cooking, etc. (again — nothing related to drugs or medical cannabis).
I’ve tested many different online business ideas, researched a lot, and I can say faceless Instagram theme pages are definitely something I see huge potential in. I really want to hit big with this. I know I will, just by doing what I’m already doing. Everything is growing steadily, people really see my posts and engage. So there’s definitely money to be made. The biggest concern is of course IG’s passion to kick you in the nuts if you try to use it as a vehicle into riches. No matter if you do things right. If you’re an average Joe who posts a pic of a chick’s ankle, and Kim Kardashian spreads her asshole, it’s YOU who gets punished. So let’s hope at least one of my pages makes it without nazi bans.
And no, I’m not using a VPN to hide myself or manage multiple accounts. I only have a few, not dozens. I’m willing to take that risk — especially because I’m not “spamming.” Also, I’d be more worried about IG detecting VPN accounts and banning them. That’s what the spammers are doing. I strongly believe if I just post good quality content that people like to watch, IG will be more tolerant and leave me alone. Hopefully I’m right.
I know I’m an outsider with my approach since I’m a whitehat guy (and too dumb to learn blackhat tactics). I’m building this with a long-term mindset, and from experience I know all kinds of cheating and gambling aren’t profitable if I want to keep this running for years.
I’ve had the idea to speed this up by buying paid shoutouts to gain followers. But as I said, I don’t want to take that risk — if my page gets closed, I lose everything. If I’m going to invest in something, I’ll use that money 100% to produce the best content possible. Right now, in the beginning, my stuff is kinda blah. But let’s say when I start to earn €50 per post, I’ll reinvest like €40 to produce a better post. Then I’ll keep increasing my investment in proportion to what I earn as long as I can. If my account gets fucked, I didn’t lose anything.
So yeah. This is what I’m doing and what I’ll keep doing unless I hear some great ideas to make it better. So, amazing fellas, I’d really appreciate it if you share your thoughts, give tips and advice, feedback, tell your experiences with this business model. Anything — I’m all ears. The philosophy behind that is the same as the beginning of all big platforms like FB, IG, YouTube, Google, etc. First build the audience — then find ways to monetize that audience. I’ve made the mistake of paying too much attention to monetization early. That’s greedy thinking, and greed always leads to failure. Offer something valuable first, and give a lot. The law of reciprocity: if you want to receive, you have to give.
Customers always come first. If they genuinely like what you do, there’s a 100% chance they’ll be willing to pay for it — of course, depending on your niche and other factors. The key is whether your content is something people can and should pay for — at least in my own honest opinion.
Oh yeah — I almost forgot to mention one of my channels: rap clips from TikTok. I’m a rapper. I post TikTok rap videos (with credit, of course) to give visibility to unknown rappers. Short compilations. I’m pretty sure this is a safe route since rappers are hungry and always trying to get their shit heard. So they definitely won’t be mad if someone gives them free promotion. Of course, it’s also a great way to give myself visibility too — I just avoid overpromoting myself. And I keep my identity hidden as the owner of the page. I currently have 100 followers. Sounds like nothing, but I live in a small country (a little over 5 million people), so in our metrics, hitting “big” locally isn’t impossible. Average dudes become superstars just by farting something on the mic. Also, this is a great way for me to network with other rappers — especially the popular ones in the future. I want to make those bastards BEG to get their shit posted, haha. There’s also a big chance I might have the opportunity to make a song with a big artist, and that’s definitely the easiest way for me to get new listeners. Otherwise, I will buy feats, but this channel could make it possible to get them free. Wish me luck.
