How to REALLY grow on Youtube?

If I want to grow on youtube - and I am in it for long-term (2-3 years), whats the best way to grow?

I'm thinking to create my process around a simple formula:

1. Create long-form content (>10 min) videos on youtube, packed with value + clickbait + trends (in my niche of course) targeting low competition kws with the mix.
2. Use that long video and create 3-5 reels out of it
3. Upload reels on Youtube -> Instagram -> Tik Tok
4. Rinse & repeat

The topic is very close to me. It's something I will enjoy. I have experience with design / editing so I know that my videos won't suck that much and will get better over time. The question is.. is this enough nowadays?

What yall think? What would you do?

You have already nailed the most important parts. Just keep being consistent, do a little bit of experimentation as well, use promotions if you like and also if you see that your channel doesn't blow up in 3-4 months with 15 video uploads , delete it and re-upload in new channel. Sometimes certain channels are unlucky, they never escape that nerfed situation (basically shadow ban).

Also for more earnings, increase running time of video to 25mins + and focus more on consistent long form videos.

What is the niche of the channels ? The approach you mentioned might work for some specific niches.
