But PR opens the door to LE with other well established sites with PR2 or higher and that, in return, may bring traffic.

Build quality backlinks on high PR sites and try PBN to get ranking better. As one of our friend mentioned above that having home page post on high PR sites is also a good tactic.

Get a pr2 domain and 301 redirect it to this one. Or, build many pr3+ links.
