So while doing a little bit of keyword research on popular movie titles for free streaming website, I came across this google doc ranked on the first page of goole for a keyword that has in-between 10-100 monthly searches according to google keyword planner. I checked back again today and now they are on page two. But anyways, my question is: Is it really easy to rank google docs, Is there a certain trick to it, how can I do this? And clicking on the doc there is nothing special about it, SUPER Spammy looking doc lol, with a link to their stream site. I know 10 monthly searches isn't a lot but say you had 1000 movies all on page 1 with google doc, thats like 10,000 monthly impressions. Thoughts and opinions please.

Yeah Google gives a major boost to their own properties, be it Youtube or Google Docs.

How to rank? Just create a document and add the metadata. There's a place for the title, for the summary, etc, just like a HTML document.

Then share it on some FB group or forum and wait.

I've had some success with this before. Make sure the file name and description is SEO friendly, embed them contextually onto a website using an iframe, I used WordPress blog posts and make sure the sharing is set to completely public not just "anyone with the link".
