Hey,

I've seen some websites which are ranking for non-optimized keyword (i.e. keyword not found in content, internal/external link, meta-tags and more...).

How is this possible?

Thank you for your help :)

It may occur two way.
Either White Hat SEO or Black Hat SEO.

Mate:

These websites might have got strong backlinks and so they are ranking high for keywords - not on their landing page or updated on Meta Tags, Descriptions etc.

Follow Diversified Links Strategy if you also want to have this magic on your website:

  • Unique web2.0 descriptions
  • Unique blogs with word count 800-1200 and submissions
  • Edu Links
  • Tier 2 submissions
  • Profile Links
  • Social Media - High DA submissions
  • 8-10 Types of LSI Keywords
  • 15% Main Keywords
  • 40-45% LSI (8-10 Types of LSI we use)
  • Rest: Brand Names/Naked URLs
  • High DA Blogs Submissions and so on.
Hope that helps.

Good luck.

Steve

Any details?

I've checked some white hat seo elements and found nothing.

Reason: www-domain-com ranks for "seo" but no content, backlinks or meta-elements contain "seo" or similar wording.

They rank because of the sheer size and authority. Such sites do not have to be optimized for the keywords to rank for them. If you want to take over them though, you will have to.

To rankup the keywords just stuf the keyword in title , description and keywords in both on your website as well as all the submissions your doing.
