How to rank app in appstores?

Im launching a new mobile game for the 1st time (using the freemium monetization model + offer wall for advertising). Im new to the industry. I'd like some advice on how to rank my app as high as possible in the appstore. Ive already been negotiating with various publishers to drive traffic. However, I'd like to have a better understanding of how it all works. A friend of mine told me that the majority of the mobile traffic is fake and is just used to push the app into the top50+ where the quality of the user downloads converts better.

any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks
 
Advertise on BHW
Fake until you make it. Get some reviews, ratings, etc.
Start doing some SEO to your app store and website to get more organic traffic.
Do some media buys for your game through the various advertisers, blogs, etc.
Make sure you have all your social signals going and get a solid youtube teaser in your store/app description.

Those are just a few things that come to mind.
 
Hi can you pls tell me how you would develop apps. I am also android application developer. Have u develop apps with java coding? .
 
I just went balls deep and hired a whole crew off the hop. maybe some people think this is unwise but for me jumping in and getting my hands dirty is how i learn the quickest. also id rather just hire an experts in each area and learn from them when they update me on the work they are doing than learn by myself.

There is guy here, Jok3rnik, I think who have a BST that provides, Android app instals, reviews etc..I am not promoting him, but just sharing an info, if you didnt had a look on it.
 
Not to mention getting your apps in all the other stores aside from itunes and google play. There dozens of other ones out there that will bring in residual traffic (some of which will automatically scrape/add your app to there databases).
 
1. App must be good and "needable"
2. Buying social signals, can use 40-50% of bots.
3. Buying reviews on your targeted websites.
 
Buysellads is a great network to chose when it comes to advertising on your site.
