How to protect backlinks from competitors?

Hi,

i found some awesome pr6/7/8 links for free and want to use them for my money site. but i don't want my competitors to see these backlinks. so which is the best way to protect my backlinks???

i read about 301's but some backlinkcheckers are able to find the original sites. so is 301 really a good way to protect my backlinks?

i also read about creating satellite pages like "backlink -> satellite -> money site". but isn't it useless because we also could check the backlinks of the satellites?

the question of the questions is: which is the best way to hide my backlinks?

The best way to hide your links is to do linkbuilding for your satellite sites.

This is generally pretty difficult for your competitors to figure out.

i would try to find all the satellites with a backlinkchecker. then i would check the backlinks from the high pr-satellites also with a backlinkchecker. et voila here we have the very good backlinks.

so how can i protect the backlinks of the satellites or the satellites?

you can't protect them unfortunately

As far as I know, there's no way of fully obtaining the link juice and yet hiding it from your competitors. However, you can try and increase the number of backlinks from different sources, so hopefully your competitors won't spot it easily.

With Yahoo site explorer gone other tools see just a very small bunch of links, so you are protected.

Tell you what, show me your PR6, 7, and 8 link source and I'll tell you if you can protect them from your competitors.

If you really want to be paranoid about it, you could send them to a buffer site with only your money page link on it. Or you can do a 301 Redirect.

The thing is that backlink checkers are notoriously unreliable. They only pick up on a handful of links. That is what makes backlink checkers a double-edged sword. It protects your site since your competitors can't come in and copy your links. On the other hand, it means you can't steal their links either. So really, you are automatically protected because of the fact that the backlink checkers aren't very good.

I think your being too paranoid. Just build the links if all your competition are doing is copying your back-links they're always gonna be ten steps behind you anyway!

There are several services that takes over Yahoo site explores dead. Just before Christmas Market Samurai started to offer support for Majestic SEO.

Also sitexploration.com and others offer backlinks monitoring as a paid service.

Yeah, I would just build it. If you're building them to satellites, you'll cut out the spies who will be too lazy to analyze the satellite sites' profiles at least.

A better way is to do guest posting, so it's more work if they're going to try to copy it. Or link from powerful sites that you own--that way competitors have no access.

The only pure way to protect your backlinks is to build your own private high PR BL network. If you want a real chuckle, include a contact page with a tough Captcha and a double opt in. When you competitors contact your BL network site for a link, and they will, take them through your BH BL purgatory, hahahaha.

Here's what I do; when they send a request to place a link on one of my sites, I have a prepared automated response that requires them to send a unique article that passes Copyscape and also a link to the page our site will be linking to. I advise them that we must approve the article and their site.

Once I receive the article, I reply and advise them that their article has grammatical and/or punctuation errors. Just so you know, I never read the articles, lol. If they decide to redo the article and resend it, I respond with another automated response advising them that their Flesch?Kincaid readability score is too low and they must improve it.

IF per chance, they change the article, yet again, [and some have] I send them another reply, this time I advise them that the SEO on their site is indicative of illegal keyword stuffing. I advise them that their keywords can be no higher that 1% density in order to qualify for a BL to our site. My system is set up to get them exasperated and simply give up while I have a few laughs in the process, LOL!!! The bottom line is, your competitors will never get a link on your high PR BL network.

As far as I know your competitors will be able to see only a small fraction from you backlinks. So I say don't really worry about this.
