Get a credit card, put $1000 into it and switch on auto-renewal. Destroy the credit card so that you don't use it anywhere else.
That should set you up for your lifetime.

In 100 years, domains will cease to exist. The only option OP is to pay for 10 years, each 10 years.

I'm surprised no one said anything about Unstoppable Domains, you can get . crypto and .zil domains for life. These are blockchain based TLD's, new stuff, bitcoin, ethereum.. Whatever, toilet paper is more important.

I'm fairly certain Epik has a "forever" time period that you can choose for around $500, not really sure if it's actually lifetime knowing Epik

Credit cards do in fact expire so your logic is flawed.
