Hi Guys,
I am going crazy with the new google update. Can someone please explain to me what i should not do.

THANK YOU!

Me too.. I dont know what to do.. I want to set to default my blogger themes to remove seo optimization to see what will happen, but im afraid what if google set back their algo because many doesnt like it.l

No one knows yet, sit tight for a few days it could be reversed for all we know.

What you should do: Sit back, watch how everything is going and calm down.

What you should not do: Get hyped up, get frustrated, do more shit link building, get even more frustrated, give up.

We see sites now ranking that are not well optimized, but they do have good quality content and social backlinking.I do agree wait for things to settle, unfortunately for some and fortunately for others some folks panicked and sold their sites. Not advisable.

No worries yet. One of my largest sites, had most of the backlinks pointed at the root and 2 posts in it. I never took the time to backlink the other articles because they were ranking naturally on thier own. The root and 2 articles dissapeared, but the rest of the site just seems to be in a really nasty dance. I didnt have any really bad backlinks, 90% were web 2.0s and social bookmarks. My anchor text isnt the greatest (mostly all my main keyword) but im going to wait things out and see what happens here....

I guess I'm lucky (or just have the right diversity in my backlinks so far) but pretty much everyone of my sites went up a couple of spots... but answer is still the same as if they had dropped drastically...

relax...
breathe......

give it a few days for the dust to settle...
make a plan...

If you're not very experienced, look at what others are planning and decide which one makes the most sense and give it a try...

But IMHO I think there are a few things you want for your sites:

1) Decent content - either write the articles yourself or get them from a good provider. If you get crap articles, either clean them up or use them for Web 2.0s - do NOT put crap articles on your site.
2) Build backlink diversity - web 2.0s to your main site, social bookmarks, multiple tiers backing up the Web 2.0s... there is more but I can't think of them right now... lol

Just don't panic and start blasting your site with all kinds of crap links hoping to improve...

For now - just wait.. With all the flaws it seems likely that they might roll back (at least a part of) the update.
