Hi, this is my first post here, but I've been reading this forum for about 2-3 months now. You guys are awesome, posting amazingly helpful stuff, journeys, guides, etc.
However, I would like to ask you how to optimize a post or page for multiple keywords. As far as I already know, It's always good to focus on a single keyword and try to optimize the whole post/page for this keyword, but what if I want to optimize it for more than just one keyword.
So, to clear this out, let me explain with following example. Let's say I have a website for cooking recipes. I am writing a new post and I would like to optimize it for following keywords: '20 recipes of salads', 'different salads ideas' and/or 'best recipes of healthy salads'.
I know this is not the best example, because the keywords are a bit different from each other and should be optimized for different posts/pages, but I hope you get the idea.

I would really appreciate your help.

Don’t optimize 1 article for lots of keyword. Mistake I made as newbie. Write one post per keyword. Increases relevance. Better chance of domination for the query :)

I follow this technique and do silos with it. Very powerful non backlink method.

Yes its true. you don't want to be optimizing a post for multiple keywords. The quality of the content may not be there. what you can do is use lsi keywords in your copy

Target only one keyword in a single post is old fashion seo.

You can target multiple keywords using H tag on your post. Learn how to structure it.

Main keyword as topic and other related keywords as sub topic.

You can also use LSI to avoid high keyword density.

You can optimize a page for multiple keywords and that page has good metrics in terms of page authority, all the keywords can actually rank in Google for their respective search. What you need to do when optimizing the page for such multiple keywords is to have sections on the page that talks about each keyword. For example, lets say the main keyword for the page is SEO NY, and you may want to have these other keywords on the page:

new york seo company
best seo nyc
new york city seo company
new york seo agency
seo agency new york city
seo services new york
new york seo expert
best seo company new york
seo packages new york

You can group the keywords in the following sections:

Section 1:
best seo nyc

Section 2:
new york seo company
new york city seo company
new york seo agency
seo agency new york city
best seo company new york

Section 3:
seo services new york

Section 4:
new york seo expert

Section 5
seo packages new york

You can see from above that I have the keywords that have the same meaning (synonyms) together.

Make the Tittle of the Page to be the only H2 tag and then make the heading of each section to be H3 tag.

If you have a quality article that is between 3000 and 5000 words, have videos on it and the page is well laid out. If the page has a solid page authority and the website has a solid domain authority, you will definitely rank for the different keywords and even more.

Hope this gives you a better insight.

Thank you, I find this information really helpful, but there is just one thing I didn't get - "Make the Tittle of the Page to be the only H2 tag and then make the heading of each section to be H3 tag. ". I always thought that the Page Title should be H1 and then every different section should be H2. Can you please explain this? Thanks again.

Sorry...... The page title should be H1 tag, the most important keyword /main keyword should be the only H2 tag and the remaining sections should have H3 tags.
