So not long ago, I was working on a project to extract highlights from long videos into shorts/reels or even compilation videos.

Using AI and data analsysis, now the software is sitting unused inside my server and wondering how to monetize such thing.

Saas, TG bot, desktop app... ?

Also automated uploading to Youtube and had decent results for Shorts but wasn't profitable for me that way.

Will appreciate your ideas.

Starting with the SaaS model may be the easiest route, given its widespread adoption and scalability. Consider prototyping a few options and gathering user feedback. Market research on your target audience's preferences can help refine your approach.

thank you for your sharing

If no one knows you yet, the smartest move is to partner with any of big players in your niche. Give them the tool for free in exchange for their marketing or a small rev-share. This gets you exposure, proof of results, and fast traction. Launching solo as a SaaS with no network is much harder imo.

Automated highlight extraction for long videos is extremely monetizable because:

Video creators are drowning in long content (streams, podcasts, webinars).
Shorts are the #1 growth vector on TikTok, YT Shorts, Instagram Reels.
Businesses want automated content repurposing.

The key is not the tech, but packaging it for a specific user segment that has money + volume.
