If you don't know, the MIT license allows you to use the project for your own commercial use, and adjust it how you want.
Step 1 : Think of a nice idea you are already using for software. (Apart from SEO! Please no more SEO software! lol). Or one that you recognise has finished its lifecycle, and or needs an update.
Step 2 : Think about the actual product, and where its faults are, and how many people actually use it and what kind of a community there is for this niche and competing software.
Step 3 : Learn till your fingers bleed how to code with a a good IDE like jet brians, or vs code whatever, and learn it quickly. (hello world is fine)
Step 4: Setup Electron framework to create apps that are friendly for windows /linux/ and mac (https://www.electronjs.org/) (pretty solid product, mature, and long term plans and support)
Step 5: Create a vastly improved or niche aspect that pairs in with the software you use and have picked to go to battle with. Use the advantage of already built libraries and repositories with MIT licenses.
Step 6 : Program a new app via chatgppt/deep seek/grok/claude whatever, like a maniac for however long it takes till its complete and working well. (the hard work part)
Step 7: Setup website and promote software as a download on your site, and attempt to get it listed in the mac and windows store if possible.
Step 8: Get customers in the door, profit, and build your business.
