I am quite good building webscrapers and automation tools but have no idea where to sell my services, and I decided: Fiverr sucks. I need to get away from it.

Why not BHW then?
Yeah will start looking for work here. Although I don't see many jobs in this field, mostly just backlinks, seo and lead generation (which the last one I honestly don't know how to automate without using databases like apollo etc, which all seem more expensive than I could earn with. Although I only spent one afternoon looking through various options and either foudn them too expensive or limited in the output. Where do people even get the direct email and phone numbers for leads from?)

Have you tried Upwork?

Have you tried Upwork?
Trying, yes. But I didn't land a job there yet either. I always get outbid and even though I put good effort into my proposals, it doesn't work.

But I was asking here to get alternatives to the freelancer platforms altogether.

Okay, but outside of fiverr?

What kind of automations tools ?

I have built a few web automation tools for clients that handled log ins and changing setting and/or extracting data (usually used daily), I automated someones web based mmorpg where he has to log to use his trains on his character and he couldn't be arsed to do that in real time.

I built various clean up automations to sort through folders and files. You know, remove duplicates, match wild data to the right columns etc.

Obviously the web scraping. I also built a few job application tools, scraped through large databases, business contact info from imprint pages and google maps, doordash menues, stocks etc etc. I also worked with immobilia platforms before and airbnb to get prices for specific areas and booking types.

Also done some automatic System Backups. Email automation (although only once so far) etc.

Forgot to mention I automated social media posts before. (replacing tedious upload and caption writing procedures. I took a picture from a folder, added predetermined captions, and then posted them all at once, one after another.)

Whatever the client brings to me, I'll look at and try to accomplish.

Besides thinking about selling it somewhere else why don't you use your skills to develop something that can benefit you only? Like a self programmed bot for some social network. Then build up your own profiles and generate profit from there by posting affiliate links or selling the accounts.

I can play around with new stuff once I have a more stable income. But I am not dismissing the idea, just don't think it's the right time for it yet.

Check out websites like Upwork, Freelancer, or Toptal for freelance jobs. Also, make your own website to show off your skills and offer services. Connect with people on forums or communities, and try to find clients on your own. It's good to be on different platforms, not just Fiverr, to get better opportunities.

In the case of making money I can said that explore alternative platforms like Upwork, Freelancer, or Toptal, where you can offer your web scraping and automation services or you can create a personal website to showcase your skills and attract clients directly through social media or other forums related to your expertise.

Dude, you've been here since 2019. There are tons of ideas. If you're good at scraping, there are tons of ways to make money.

Let me spitball.

1) Scrape outbound links from top websites to new sites, get their emails and offer them SEO services by email blast. If they accept, then sell

2) Scrape the top trending things from exploding topics, use them to find Clickbank or other affiliate products and then start putting them on your sites (or just use parasites and see if they make money)

3) Scrape company mentions on reddit and see which ones trend over hours. Use that along with WSB for cheap long bets. (F**K DO THIS for me)

4) A variation of the one above - Get a list of all the crypto based news sites here on BHW, scrape them for new outbound links, see what new crypto tickers are out there, they're probably going for a short pump and dump, then sell the info.

5) Use your past experience of finding company information online and setup a SEO website and then push an email blast to them for SEO services.

6) Make backlinks and sell them - Lots of ways to do this with python.

7) Make reddit bots to cross post P**N on new accounts, once it reaches a certain karma, then delete the past posts and sell the accounts.

8) Make your own subreddits and sell those, tons of accounts with you too, if you're good, you can do trending topics and then start selling upvotes. Sellers do the same with retweets, shares on FB and more.

Still can't figure it out? DM me.

You mean for discord? Never done it before, but looks doable.

Nope, not really good at that. Sorry.

Loads to take from this reply. It's the good advice mixed with the derogating and condescending aggressivity of this forum that keeps me coming back. That, or the emotional manipulation through abuse.
