Adding on to this. Building an email list of people who have blogs in your niche is a great way to generate visits. Email a quality article out to about 20 of the most popular blogs in your niche, and try to get them to have a link back to you somewhere on their site. This will drive readers to your site and add more legitimacy to it. Also try to get someone with influence to do a guest post. The more back links to your site, the higher it's pagerank and the sooner it'll show up in search results (quality back links can bring your page from the 40th page in the search results to the 3rd, or even the 1st if you get enough). The higher you are in the search results, the more visits you'll get. The more visits, the more advertisers will target your site, and the more money from ads.

Yep, the biggest money maker, but the hardest to achieve. There are only a few websites that can sell banner ad space that way.

I will go for affiliate marketing, because it is very easier to work than adsense and mainly you will get more money than adsense :)
 
Adsense is best as a single click earns money for you. CPA offers like email submits work great as well.
 
First you need to offer GREAT content on your blog this is a must, it has to have value to the reader, you can then promote it via social networks, buzz feed etc, once people see that your blog is top notch they will share your content and trust what you have to say on the subject, get them on a list and then send them a set of emails to build more trust with them.. then you will be able to to sell to them anything that is related to your blog topic
