Every update seems to kill more small blogs. Has anyone found a strategy that keeps traffic stable through these endless algorithm changes?

Algorithms are constantly changing, yes. But I think the key is to create quality, useful content. To avoid being completely dependent on Google traffic, you need to build alternative channels like email lists or social media. It's not easy, but it's more robust.
