How to make a US based bank account?

Hey guys so I got accepted into Merch By Amazon a while back... Now when I go to register the bank and tax details they ask for country. Basically you have to have a bank account in one of the listed countries to warn in their respective currencies

Now, I live in India and India isn't there on the list which is extremely surprising. But anyway I'm 17 years old and I now have to make a US/UK/... bank account. How do I go about doing this? What all proof will I need? Can the process be done online? Will I be able to open an account being 17 or do I have to get an adult to do it? Also how much time will it take? I only have one month before my Merch account expires

Please BHW help me out or my ecom dream will be over before it even starts.

Have you looked at Payoneer?
 
Payoneer is ideal as it gives US bank account details to the people paying you, ie Amazon.
 
You don't need a US bank account. Find routing and Swift BIC code of your indian bank and fill up there as a US bank. It will work. When you will get paid, first it will go their US counter part and will be routed to your bank.

It won't work. Almost all banks have stopped using a US counterpart. Even in that case, you need to fill a memo with your Indian Bank details. Amazon will fill no such memo and the money will never reach you.

OP, Sign up for Payoneer - get your account verified - once done, you'll get your US Bank details - add it to Amazon.

When you receive payments, you'll see them in your Payoneer and can withdraw to your regular bank.
 
As a youngin myself payoneer is the route my friend its user friendly all u need to do is sign up verify your account and add your indian bank details and they will give your us bank credentials so you can withdraw your funds with them. If the info is too overwhelming they provide videos to assist you.
 
I'm not sure if Payoneer would accept you at 17 years old when it comes to ID verification.
 
congratulation for getting accepted.
I have been trying, but they do not ever accept my proposal.
use an id of any adult to create an account, and do make sure amazon id and Payoneer name are same, Payoneer will be sending money to the bank account, so you will be needing an account for the ID you are using.
 
Hey guys thanks wveteverfor the answers.
While signing up should I use "Individual" or "Company". Also since I'm gonna have to use a family members information I have a few questions like: my merch account has my name, my email, phone number etc... So if i make and put my family members bank account through Payoneer will it cause any problems? Also will I be able to change everything when I'm of age?
And for those considering Payoneer I think they have like 5000-7000$ limit per day (not sure of the exact amount) but really that's an issue for a much later time.

@OP Payoneer won't work for you so forget that (I just turned 18 so trust me, I know). I suggest you buy a VBA or try some other alternatives.

I'll tell my parents to register... But when I turn 18 can I make register for Payoneer and switch accounts on Merch?

Yes. I applied the same day I turned 18 and was immidiately accepted. Don't worry it's not that long left. Just wait a few more months. :)

The thing is my Merch account will expire in a month. And I turn 18 in June :(
