It highly depends what you´re getting in return. If it´s for FULL SEO services, $400 is not that much, to be honest.
SEO is a beast!
So, my recommendation for you is to break it down into little and more manageable pieces and devote as much time as possible to learn and master each and every one of them.
- Technical SEO
- On-Page SEO
- Keyword Research
- Blog Topic Creation
- Content Optimization
- Backlink Profile Analysis
- Competitors Analysis
- Off-Page SEO
As a matter of fact, it will take you some time to even master any of these areas of SEO by themselves...Imagine how will it take in order to learn SEO.
I´ve spent a lot of time learning SEO for the past couple of years and, the more I learn about it the more I realize there´s still a long way to go for me to even call myself an "SEO Expert".
Having said all that...How do you feel about spending $400 a month for SEO service?
Again, in order for us to judge whether or not you´re getting a good deal for your money, we will need more information about the services you have access to and, what type of experience and results in the guy/agency you´re getting the SEO from have had in the past.
Personally, I wouldn´t take a client for $400 a month to take care of this entire SEO needs and, I don´t consider myself an "expert" on this field (yet).
I know SEO Consultants that charge a couple of thousand dollars just to take care of your site´s technical SEO needs.
Anyway, a few months ago I published a thread here having newbies in mind because, as a former newbie myself, I understand the struggles we go through during those first months in this community/industry.
I hope you find some value out of it.
New to BHW and SEO? This is for you!!
Cheers and be well!
