Content marketing is very broad

You need to be more specific - there are many different specialties out there

You can blog and practice content marketing
You can have a site (with no blog or constantly updated content) and reach out to bloggers to pitch content that upsells your service or product - this is also content marketing
You can make a short distribution list of FB groups (along with other social platforms), this is also content marketing

The big challenge for you is to avoid TAKING AN APPROACH that is TOO BROAD

I think the best way to learn content marketing is by doing it rather than just reading about it. Create a small blog or niche website and start publishing content consistently. Over time you'll learn what topics attract readers, which headlines perform better, and how content promotion makes a difference.

I also found that reading case studies and analyzing successful websites is very helpful because you can see real strategies in action. The combination of hands-on practice, testing different ideas, and reviewing your analytics teaches much more than any single course. Content marketing is one of those skills that improves with consistent experimentation.

The fastest practice is probably building a tiny project around a topic you already understand. Pick one audience, publish four or five useful pieces, and create a basic distribution plan for each. Keep notes on impressions, clicks, replies, and signups; after a month, hmm, you will have real examples to review instead of only course notes.
