This thread is 2 month old, but I'll answer to OP anyway.

Submissions to directories and bookmarking sites can not increase PR of the target site because actual PR of the page with a link is 0 (zero). Only little part of domain authority leaks through the link. To get high PR for your site using this method you need zillion links.
Only d0follow links from pages with actual PR can deliver you high PR.

what type of service have you made? Get backlink from HP web 2.0 with high quality article . Moreover social bookmark (HP, ********), social media such as : G+1's, facebook, twitter etc...Let be patient!

As I've written already - use some autosurf. With lot of visitors everyday you can boost pagerank almost instantly.

I may be a bit daft at my old age. But can someone explain to me how autosurfs increase pagerank? Please take me slowly like a 5 yr old. Otherwise I'll start wondering a lot about the quality of advice here on bhw.

Backlink is the only way to increase page rank of any website, try to get links from high pr authority websites.

I would suggest you learn to use the search tool first. There are numerous threads like this with some terrific answers. Getting a bit sick of people asking the same questions all the time without doing any research first. Maybe I am just having a bad day. Time to take a chill pill.

There are many rubbish answers mixed with some genuine answers, so I hope that you don't get confused while scrolling over this thread.

One simple yet clear suggestion I'd give you is to build high quality backlinks. It'll go a long way to improve the PR of your website/blog.

Subscribe your blog to dmoz(.org) (but it could take a lot of time to be approved by its admins) - it's a rather effective method, as other guys have already mentioned, build backlinks; also cross-linking of your own pages is rather important; socialize your blog - facebook, twitter and etc. Good luck with your blog promotion!
