How to improve site authority?

No one will share with you the secret sauce of SEO here. It's literally asking like a blue print roadmap. All I would say is just focus on ROI not DA DR crap. Nowadays SEO is literally a gamble for new websites in hard niches. CoreWeb Vitals, Schemas, ZeroClick Searches Anti-SEO updates etc. etc. etc. really tired of this crapshit.

Optimize Your On-Page,
create high quality content,
Improve internal link and page loading speed
make website mobile friendly
content promoting through social media

Yes, I already did all the On-Page stuff, etc.

However, it seems something fundamental changed since December 2019.

How important do you guys think is the retention time? I also work with YouTube and the Google Play Store and it definitely is a ranking factor if your videos have high retention and also if your apps have high retention (usage time, how many screens are being open per session, etc.)

I am thinking about making a case study, where I would try to keep users on the post/page by having sliders and also a quiz on the website...simply to keep them on the website in order to improve the retention and get higher rankings.

Build links from forums.

links from relevant and authority sites, guest post/Niche edits. Build links to homepage as well as inner page. Add some info articles and interlink to your main kw and to homepage too.

come to Domain name relevant to your niche is " suggestive now a days? " isn't . Literally is so call. " out of domain name if you wanna pinpoint to focus on related to your niche "

if you go search Apple , I mean Fruit yes Apple here,

the first thing u see yes Apple site appear , but is not related to Fruit Apple there , is about Apple Mac computers, iPhone, iPad, etc
