How to 'hide' your link in forum posts [guide]

Have you ever wanted to get a link from a forum, but couldn't go around user/mods reporting it as spam ?

Here is a trick that should increase your chances to stick your link.

Step 1
participate genuinely to the discussion
Be creative. Maybe you can even improvise a discussion and use multiple accounts. Let it sit for a while before you post your link.

Step 2
use quote function
Reply to others by quoting their posts.

Step 3
post your link inside their quote
Depending on forum appearance, the links in quoted posts can appear just like normal text.
If not, you can try and chance link color if that works.

Exemple:

Here would go your genuine reply...

As such there are quite a lot of niche forums which permit you to post links if you are active participant in discussions. Of course, IM forums are not part of those list

I feel kinda the same, it all depend your " luck "
even you quote it , also can mark as spam.

I do tried before like OP claim , I try to discuss " nature in the way " than do like what OP claim here " After few days I see it gone
the mod or admin edit my quote reply if I remember.

Seems to me a decent mod team would catch this, although it may work one time.

Don't you run the risk of drawing a "tail" from the mods?<-----(think cops following a bad guy)

This kinda thing increases the likelihood of being banned right? Or is that irrelevant?

Create 2 account on the same forum

from 1st account ask the question where you already have article ranking or indexed in google.

via 2nd account answer the question in quote.

Make sure to use VPN and create profiles on different dates and timezone.

Any mod of an above average traffic drawing forum can identify this. Low traffic forums do permit this kind of activity as that shows engagement as well but then those are of low value as far as backlinks are concerned and sometimes don't even get crawled for months.

It is not a bulletproof method.
Especially if the mods are active.

That is right.
It is a way to increase your chances to build a 'rare' link.
As for getting banned, that is also a risk that you take, just like when you build a web2.0 blog.
Essentially you want a link. If that doesn't happen you should not care about the account. If you care about the account, make another one to risk it.

Yes, I do use a technique with 2 accounts where you quote your own link.

Most of the forums will let you post a relevant link now and then... just don't over doing. Creating and aging multiple accounts (on different IP's) works well as well.

Then there are the rarest of rare ones, say apple dell acer etc

Of course, from their support forums, then they are worth it

Your sig can carry a link if you are a Jr VIP, but its way more profitable to rent it out I suppose

I have a question about this if anyone has any input. Do you do this to build links to money pages? I've been going on forums and usually linking to informative content on my site. I've written that content for getting Wikipedia links, links on forums, free links from outreach, etc so it looks natural. I don't try to hide I'm posting a link, just use it where it actually could answer someone's question and haven't had problems. Do you think it's much better to get forum links to pages you want to rank higher, and not some other page on the site?

Best get your forum accounts up to about 10 posts, and make sure they are aged. Like months and months aged, easy to get a VA to find and register on forums in different niches, with many accounts.
Let them register on a few different sites per day, and stack up a 6 month backlog.

Ideally, yes. I would try to link to pages that I want to rank the most.
But, if the rules are strict and you can't find relevant posts, you can stick with what works/sticks. Just do internal linking and you should get that juice flowing through your site.
