How to give away Free Gift Card

I suppose what your friend meant was setting up an incentive site that gives away free gift cards in exchange for completing CPA offers on the site.
There are many scripts for making incentive sites, however it is not as easy as it once was.
Many advertisers don't like incentivizing their offers, as the leads tend to be of poor quality, as those filling out the offers usually dont give a damn about the merchant and their products, the just want to do enough offers to get the free gift card you are giving. In turn this results in problems such as people canceling the trial right after signing up, doing chargebacks because they didnt read the terms of the offer and now got charged, using fake/fraudulent details to fill in the offer, etc, etc.
Not to say its impossible, there are some successful incentive sites out there, but its not an "easy" task, especially for a beginner in CPA.
Someone who runs an incentive site could chime in and give some info here too.

i think the op is talking about offers like walmart gift cards
Thanks for the detailed response, I understood the complications but is there any other easy way to implement CPA's with other than music and video sites ?

I built this a while ago. I MAYBE get one "sale" a day. I think this site caused my adwords account to be banned. Google HATES these types of things.
If anyone has any brains, they won't attempt to fill out any of the offers. I was gonna drop the domain until I got ranked #3 on Bing and traffic started arriving!

sweet site...i like it...do other search engines hate these kinda sites as well...After you got highly ranked on bing were did this site become more profitable?

Well yea, I went to from 0 dollars to about $1 per day once Bing started ranking me. My point is these types of offers aren't crazy lucrative and so easy EVERYBODY will be clicking on them if you just sprinkle them on your site.
I guess Bing has no problem with this site, 'cause it's up there. It's no where to be found on Google. I seems Yahoo and Bing are more tolerant of "scammy" things. (Acai berry crap, etc.)
