I would like to know what methods you would use to rank a new site.

I mean without using any programmes etc. Just some good old fashion work.

Do any of you have any special ways etc. (I know this is a wierd question but i was just wondering how others work)

Just let me know what you's all do.

you can try searching blogs related to your niche..

and then try asking the admin to let you post on there site with a link...
 
every seo program work by following some set of rules. it just does it superfast and doesnt gets tired. :) earlier it used to work coz no one was using softwares. now almost 99% of them use softwares so its harder to rank. its just harder but not impossible.
 
Exchanging links - this also works and are more effective then blog comments etc.

Did you expect to post a thread and find the secret to Google's Algo?
Go do some tests and read some info and figure it out yourself.
 
your title is kind a misleading lol, i would say using SAPE, or some blog network links, that will skyrocket, but you risk yourselve getting banned

No im not just trying to post a thread and be told secrets, afterall this is a seo thread and we help each other out. Iv been reading peoples posts for 1 year now. I was just asking some ways others tend to use. Dont be such a ass! Dont get me wrong i know where your coming from. Peace!

It's kind of hard to believe but link exchanges still work. I saw a lot of them when I was analyzing a local dentist website.
 
OP - it depends on how competitive the keyword is. You can rank websites and youtube videos for some keywords super fast if the competition is low. For others it could take weeks or months depending on how hard they are.
