I would like to know what methods you would use to rank a new site.

I mean without using any programmes etc. Just some good old fashion work.

Do any of you have any special ways etc. (I know this is a wierd question but i was just wondering how others work)

every seo program work by following some set of rules. it just does it superfast and doesnt gets tired. earlier it used to work coz no one was using softwares. now almost 99% of them use softwares so its harder to rank. its just harder but not impossible.

It's kind of hard to believe but link exchanges still work. I saw a lot of them when I was analyzing a local dentist website.

OP - it depends on how competitive the keyword is. You can rank websites and youtube videos for some keywords super fast if the competition is low. For others it could take weeks or months depending on how hard they are.
