How to get first or new clients for SEO

I do Reddit comment marketing, and what I noticed is that a lot of people on many subreddits constantly ask questions regarding getting traffic from search engines.

You might want to start with those subreddits.

They're easy to find.

The key here is to offer real information that is actionable.

Once people can see that if they take action on your advice and they can see results, it doesn't take much for them to hire you first as a consultant and then as a month-to-month service provider.

One thing is clear: You have to first prove yourself because there's a lot of scammers out there.

There are a lot of people who think they can fake it until they make it.

These people are not stupid.

They can see through the smoke.

So unless and until you are willing to prove your value, people are not gonna touch you.

So have to go out there, be part of the conversation, offer advice for free, and step them through real, measurable results.

When people see that, people do talk.

They might not need your services directly, but they might know people who do.

Do you see how this works?

It's not that complicated.

You need to make the first move.

Unfortunately, it's very easy to get scammed by people who say that they can find new clients or they have a magic list that you just need to mail.

Don't fall for that trap.

You have to roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself.

Attend meetups related to digital marketing. Those connections can bring you a lot of potential clients.

Regularly post tips and examples on LinkedIn or Instagram to showcase your expertise, which can also help you attract clients.

Hey dude! I followed some strategies before, and that worked well, and I hope it helps you as well. These are the strategies.

• Define niche and build portfolio.
• Network locally.
• leverage social media and freelance platforms.
• Offer free audits.
• Use cold outreach and content marketing.
• Join online communities.
• Partner with web designers, marketing agencies, or IT firms.
• leverage testimonials.
• Provide value and establish a reputation in SEO.

I hope you will gain from this!!! All the best

Local SEO (Map Packs) is still a gold mine providing you have the confidence to cold call and visit your prospects local to your area.

In the UK this is highly lucrative and like shooting fish in a barrell thanks to the piss poor optimisation most local businesses employ.

Regularly ask the community for feedback they would like to see. This will help you keep your members engaged.

For SEO, you need to out reach clients through cold calling or emails. Cold Calling is the best option I think. I have heard a lot of SEO companies approaching businesses in Canada through cold calling and signing them as clients.

Regularly post tips and examples on LinkedIn or Instagram to showcase your expertise, which can also help you attract clients.
What's your experience with high ticket clients, do they ask you to show references?

To get clients in SEO and Digital Marketing, focus on building a strong portfolio. Start by offering your services to local businesses, friends, or family at a discounted rate or for free to showcase your work. Create a professional website to display your portfolio and success stories. Use LinkedIn to network with potential clients and share helpful content related to SEO and marketing. Joining freelance platforms like Upwork or Fiverr, or cold emailing businesses in your niche, can also help you find clients. Always keep learning to stay ahead in the field.
Do these premium/ high ticket clients not ask you to show some references?

Take a look at this list of alternative freelancing platforms: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/f...or-hiring-or-working-as-a-freelancer.1658599/

You can definitely find some interesting potential customers there
Dude when I promote coaching/consultant marketing services I will not be on freelancer platforms.....more on Linkedin.....because on freelancer platforms I guess, you will not find high ticket retainer clients (high ticket is for me here: from $1500/mo- 9000/mo)

Find someone who is interested in your service and offer to it to them for free.

By doing this you will expand your network (if you did a good job, they will recommend you to others) and you also have a case study which you can use to pitch to new clients demonstrating you deliver.

How you guys solve this problem when target prospects asking for some cases/ references? Have a webinar instead?

You can start on BHW itself. There are so many similar service sellers here making good money already.

First client is hard to get. But if you get first client, impress him with work. He will himself give lot of new clients to you.

Here in BHW marketplace is the best way you can get your first client. But why you don't want to sell your services on BHW?
