Get high quality links. Well written Web 2.0's in Tier 1, other links linking to them, the odd good quality link from other methods.
High quality means hard work or paying a decent price though. You won't get a good link for $5.

Do you have friends with blogs? Ask them to link to you for free. Are there shops in your region? Walk up to them and ask to trade a link, or offer your services for payment in links. Find social media related to your niche, enter groups. Post something smart on your blog and then show it on the FB group. I got 5000 unique visitors to a post in one afternoon after I posted it to a group and it went kinda viral for a few hours. If you go full viral, you strike gold....

We can't say all the links are harmful, You should analyze quality first. I know there are some good seller's in fiverr.

but what if you build all the crap of links to tier 3 and then you make linking the tier 3 to the tier 2 (which has higher quality) and then you have a tier 1 which is supreme content ?
Care you share any of these ?
There are some good designers etc, but 99% of seo on there is utter crap.

Trading links is pointless. If you link to A and A links to YOU....it is seen as a reciprocal link and will essentially be worthless. Get a link from them...suer. But don't reciprocate with a link in return. Trade something else of value for that link.
The other advice in the post is great. Do it all !!!
