Is it necessary to create a specific board or have I to use tag #cars ?

I think just using that hashtag should get you there...

You need to make a board with name, related to this niche (cars, dream cars, luxury cars or something else) and depends of your account power, pin title/description, pin popularity (repins) and image, the pinterest algorithm will (or not) rank your pin in this ''sub niche'' feed.
