I've been visiting BHW for a very long time, the content here has been a great help to nearly all of my websites. That being said, I figured the best possible way to introduce myself would be a short guide on something I've become quite good at... Indexing and ranking my Youtube videos, quickly and absolutelyfree.

Now I cannot help you create at the video, because even I am not all that great at this yet. This guide is for you to use on all your future Youtube uploads.

Step One -
Okay so you have just uploaded your video to Youtube, next step is to set your video to private. We set it to private before we work on indexing and ranking because we want it to make a entrance when we list it. ( This step is optional )

Step Two -
I'm sure you all know about Google's Keyword Tool, but did you know it can instantly index your site/video? What you're going to do is go to the Keyword tool, and insert your video URL in the website text box. Hit the "Get Keyword Ideas" button and.... KABLAMMM! Google just sent a spider to your video. This means that Google just crawled, and in turn indexed your video INSTANTLY. You can also use Youtube's Keyword Tool following the same process for the highest chance of getting indexed fast.

Step Three -
Now our video is indexed and we need to get it ranked. There is no sure-fire way to get a video indexed because competition plays a HUGE role, but you're going to need views and likes on your video. Now there are a TON of different websites that offer free, automated Youtube views and likes but my personal favorite it U2BViews. They have provided me the quickest views and so far all of my videos seem to be safe, for using an automated system (of real views). You can either watch other videos to earn credits, or (like me) just complete a survey. The survey's will give you roughly 500 credits which you should use 250 on views and 250 on likes. This simple process has gotten all my videos on at least the first page of Youtube, with various results on Google. Tweak it to get the results you want; the more views and likes you get, the better chance you have to get ranked.

Step Four -
If you set your video to private, go ahead and set it to public now. Sit back, drink a cup of coffee and wait. You should start seeing an increase in natural views and a climb in ranking within hours/days. I hope that this works out for you, good luck and godspeed.

I cannot post links as I haven't been a member long enough, so just search Google for:

Youtube Keyword Tool
UPDATE - I just realized that Bing has a Keyword Tool!
U2BViews - Also if I in anyway helped you, it would help me to add my referral ID on U2BViews. :)

Great tip on the Google Keyword tool. Despite all the negative hype about automated views getting peoples videos pulled or views taken away, none of my videos have had this happen using U2BViews or Vagex. However, one word of help, U2BViews only watches 20 seconds of a video. This means that if you have a 2+ minute video, you are no longer going to get the great effects you used to get. YT/G are weighing drop-off heavily now, so if you have 5000 views of a 3 minute video, and all the views drop-off at 20 seconds, it can actually hurt rankings. What I do now is use U2BViews on short videos and Vagex on longer videos, as you can select how long you want the viewers to watch.

Thanks for your guide. Specially Step 2 is brilliant, I never heard something like that before. Just can you explain more about what's the benefit of making a video private rather than unlisted or public?

Nice method but How do you increase your view count if the video is set to private? I think the second last and the last step wasn't synchronized properly. Please correct me if I missed anything :)

I just started out with Youtube yesterday.
That was a great tip for indexing the video. But about the rest of the part, do you think only likes and views are enough to rank the video?
So far I have given the video some backlinks, social signals, and a few more things.
I also gave it views. But because of some glitch or something my video already shows 16K views o.O

here is another thing you can do.
set your video which you want to rank as Featured Video then go to google.com type in www.youtube.com/user and now open the results tabs and add /feed at the end of URL which you just opened from results so your URL will look like this youtube.com/username(don't hangethis)/feed
and post comment there. anything general comment you don't have to watch videos to comment anything like dude! you rock man!, i love your background image. etc.

so here you just created a backlink to your Featured Video. and most of them have high pr.
just make sure you are commenting from same account which you uploaded video from.
english might be fucked up as i am waiting on my tea and having headache <.<

How do you work "social signals" with youtube videos?

Director-
The only reason I make it private is so that when I list it as public it gets ranked high instantly as a seemingly fresh video. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I like trying to pioneer stuff.

Private videos can still receive views through the link, they just are not listed in the search.

avi619 & christiano9911-
I'm sure good old fashion SEO will work great for Youtube, but you have to ask yourself... How many everyday youtubers even know what SEO means? Likes and views are enough, but it can't hurt to add that extra oomph.

I believe he's talking about social media exposure/sharing.

As for the back links question, they definitely do help on Google ranking. I like to grab a pyramid on Fiverr.

For the Social Signals question, I buy on Fiver and/or use SocialMarker which is free and (fairly) easy to use.

If you're installing software from this site then I recommend to install it on a virtual machine.
I just accessed Surveys4Credits and avast anti virus warned me about a trojan.

When your vid is private, do you wait for all the views to be added before making it public- or do you make it public when it is still mid way through receiving the views?

I received the same thing with Kaspersky, I use option #2 when using that option. Using a virtual machine is a good idea though!

Step 2 is pure genius. Thanks and rep+ for sharing :)

Thank you

It's really up to you, once the views start rolling in I usually make it public so it looks like it's going viral. Remember that people follow everything.

That's what I have been doing as well, good share! ( Added to original post )
