how to generate SATELLITE or CABLE TV sales

Hi guys this is my first post!!! ive been trolling the website for months and have finally decided to join.

hopefully after a few failed/succesfull campaigns i can contribute something of value but for now i am seeking advice on my first adventure to start promoting cable and satelitte tv.

i have several deals from tv providers but im not very good at getting sales.

how can i market cable/satellite tv online?

how can i get many people to signup?

and does anyone have experience with cable or satellite tv?

Keyword Research is the first thing you should be doing - check popular keywords - analyse the competition..
 
which satellite providers are your partners? I would assume its Directv and/or Dish Network...

These two satellite providers are very picky about what keywords you can use in a website...Directv is a losing proposition b/c of churn...
 
what network are you using to promote these offers first things first check what is ok to do and what is not
take it from someone who has earned a few grand only to loose it because i didnt read the "fine print"

sorry for the late reply but this will change as i plan on focusing on IM more!

i have checked out the competition online and its not bad, i plan on focusing on renewing expired contracts havent seen that....

That's a tough market with lots of competition. I'd try optimizing the site for long tail geographic region specific keywords. Then promote the site on Craigslist, social sites, and local free ad sites. You could also run some PPC campaigns with free Adwords coupons from fiver or somewhere else. Videos would also be good, maybe make 2 to 3 per week, for 6 months or so. Have these videos target specific sub-region keywords in each state that you're targeting. Good luck.

No, you can't use PPC when promoting Directv or Dish. You will lose your dealership if you do this. There are two DTV dealerships that can do this and they are the two biggest in the country, no one else is allowed to do this.

And if I remember correctly, you can't use certain keywords on your site (like all the ones you really need to do to make money).

Basically, DTV and Dish are creating a monopoly on the net to keep their advertising costs down. DTV and Dish have an agreement not to bid on each others brand keywords. There is a specific list of keywords they have agreed to not compete with each other. Its such bullshit. Big business is so full of shit.
 
wow such bollshit!! excuse my language but this is really bad news for me as i am doing my research i keep discovering things that make it that much harder for me to set up an online presence.....

i guess i have to change my strategy, thanks to all who commented
