Hello everyone,

I just got my first plumber/handyman client and he needs help getting more customers for his business. I'm interested to know what are the best ways to get targeted leads in this niche. I'm considering using rankleads, but I'm not sure if it's the best option. Where else can I purchase a database of targeted leads?

Thanks

Have you asked about his past/existing marketing efforts and their results? What his most ordered service is? The profit of that service per customer & possibly the demographic? You need these metrics to create an effective campaign, you NEED to know the value you're bringing in order to measure your gains.

For instance, get him on Facebook and leverage Lead Ads. If he doesn't have a custom audience of his own, target buyers from a local competitor and offer a better deal on a valuable service to get customers in his door. Keep the cost per lead lower than the value of the customer and you'll always win.

Forget Facebook ads. Noone in this day and age sees a ad for plumbing, and think "Hey - I should write this guys contact info down for later reference".

You search for a plumber when you need a plumber. Not before.
Google ads is your best bet, and of course ranking (the latter takes time in such niche).

If it's a well paying client, consider setting up alerts (such as Mention dot com) for keywords on forums - and quickly jump in and promote the service. Since it's a local service however, that can be tricky too.
Best of luck.

I just do what Home Advisor does for those on the spot jobs. I resell leads I generate various ways. Its a profitable business model.

How large of a business does he have...meaning is he an owner/operator with one company vehicle or does he have employees and a small fleet of company vehicles? Most effective way for a local service business to advertise is by branding there company vehicles with a vinyl printed wrap.

1. Use your niche when setting up your account - both in your user name and on profile description under settings.
2. Look for users around your area and interact with them
3. Tell your existing customers you re on twitter and facebook and have them follow you.

Are you still selling plumbing leads?
I’m interested in my buying HVAC leads

To generate leads of people that are needing plumbing services you need to be in all possible local directories on your city.
Obviously get a landing page and also pay ads.

I think you need to read the forum rules again ;)

A) This thread is 3 years old. why bump such an old thread?
B) You are not allowed to buy from non upgraded members. Asking the OP if he is still selling leads is against the rules as he is not allowed to sell anything here. Also he never said he was selling leads and came here to find out how to get them so why you asking him of all people to purchase from is a new one on me.

If I were you I would consider starting a thread in the WTB or HAF sections. Good luck

Old thread but can I share what I would do from a true offline perspective?
Id go to every business out there, especially restaurants/bars high volume spots, and id introduce myself. Id sell right to them, make sure your business card is left in their service book.
Tell them what makes you different.
Hook him up with financing for his customers. A business takes a big hit they call you bc they can pay 200/month with you instead of 2k upfront with your competition.

Id reference this and get monthly maintenance customers, that really locks in that youre there guy when they need real services. Even if youre just charging 50/month or some BS that makes them your customer, inspection and maintenance is easy.
