Hey there

I'll be short and to the point: How do I go about my first meeting after setting up a consultation with one of my clients (ORM)?

I follow 7878's method, and everything is done and prepared, except the first meeting. I got my short calling script ready to set up an appointment, but I have no clue on what to say or do on that meetup...
I will bring the white paper and other needed documentation like his reviews on online review sites to show him why and what has to change, how I'm going to do it, but except that what else has to be discussed?

As for now I plan to
1. Have them call me or I call them if they dont respond.
2. Set up and meeting
3. Discuss what I will do using the white paper
4. Set up another appointment to sign the contracts

So, am I missing something?

Firstly I have been doing this for 8 years. I am a pro at closing people so sit down and listen.

1. Clients will not come to you - they need to be chased up, sometimes two or three times. Unless they listen to your pitch and say they are not interested you keep going.
2. Go and meet them - turn up at their place of work and ask to see them totally uninvited - 90% of the time they will be more than happy to spend 5 mins with you.
3 and 4. take the contract with you - less time you give them to think about shit the better

What your saying looks good. My advice would just be to be persistent. Dont be discouraged if you cant get somebody to buy in just move on.

Ur da Bawss, force the clients to come to you

Great advice by MOM.
One thing I would like to add is that from reading your post it would seem like you are a bit unsure of the service you are promoting and you are focussing a lot on the method that was posted by 7878. Make sure you have every aspect of your business figured out, whether this is how you will gather all info on your client; how you will get their customers to visit your review funnel or how you will invoice your clients & send their reports. While being a great tutorial, setting up a business is more than stuffing dice in an envelope and waiting for the money to appear on your account.

If you are truly sure of every (foreseeable) aspect of your service then with the tips posted earlier you should have a decent chance of closing a contract. The reason I wanted to mention this is that too many times I've seen people push a service on companies, whether webdesign, seo or something else; without having a clue on how to actually provide a valuable service to their clients after the contract has been signed.

Agreed on understanding what it is your actually selling thats a must know it inside and out but after that the best piece of advice I would give to someone would be, be yourself. Ive done years of door to door sales both business to consumer and b2b and the only thing that really works is being yourself. Business owners get lots of calls every day about way to spend their money to make their lives "easier". If your honest and straightforward with them youll gain a lot more business.
