Here is an easy way to find keywords.
1) Run the top 4-5 competitors through SEMrush.
2) Click on ranking keywords
3) Export the keywords into a spreadsheet or text file. You can filter by many metrics. I use search volume.
4) Bulk run them through a program like keywsearch.co
5) Anything under a score of 30 is pretty easy to rank (there are many variables, like age/authority of a website, but generally, this is a good rule)
6) Use the list to build out target pages.

If you're looking to do this manually, by going through every KW yourself, search something on Google and insert "_" (without quotes) at the end of the search query. Once you have those - and maybe the longtails of those longtails if you want to go deep - you should move the _ to another position
so:
cool photos of cats _
cool photos of _ cats
...and so on
You can also replace the words, like
cool photos of _
cool _ of cats
...for each word again.

Start looking into the long-tail keywords which currently bring you traffic and attempt similar ones.
Another approach is to type a short tail keyword and look into the autocomplete suggestions or else you can use some SEO tools.
