How to Drive Targeted Traffic?

Hello beloved BHW members,

I am looking for methods to drive targeted traffic to sites for quite a long time. Especially for sites offering outsourcing services. I have confusions in where exactly to submit the site to drive genuine traffic, how to make people to know about my site, etc. All suggestions are welcomed. It would be much better if I get "List of Sites to Submit" kind of suggestions.

You have the following options:

1) Paid traffic
2) Direct traffic
3) SEO

1) This on is easy, just buy traffic/ads/clicks/banners or whatever you need via Ad networks such as Adbrite/Adwords or advertise directly on related site.

2) Go blackhat and spam the crap out of related forums and so on using something like Xrumer or go whitehat and manually go through related sites/web 2.0 properties and see if you can plug your links.

3) I can write a book on SEO. If you want to learn SEO yourself then all the resources you need are here on BHW and Google.


Traffic is gold. Every single webmaster in the world needs traffic. There are tons of way to generate traffic and every website requires a unique approach. People can help you learn the theory but nobody is going to give you their "lists of sites to submit to" unless these are commonly known directories/web 2.0 properties or blog lists that simply don't give you that edge. You can also find all the communal lists here on BHW.

A few other methods would be via article marketing and video marketing.

Just write a related article, or make a video on the topic, reference your website in both of these, and get traffic that way.

I suggest you go and pay to get at least 2-3 press articles then u pay for some press reports these will go Viral and will certainly spread all around the web making some noise and giving back some good links and very targeted traffic as well.
* Make some good keyword research before you send any articles to press release services.

As lexmark suggested above, press releases. They give the most bang for the buck, and they will return incredible results for the small hand of change that you pay. You can look into the $140 social media visibility press release from prweb and start from there.
