How to do SEO for home page?

    Hey guys I need some help.

    Usually a home page would be less optimized for SEO in terms of keywords and LSI keywords especially when it has more images/explanations/etc. I read somewhere about the use of anchor pages for specific terms you want to rank for.

    When searching for the major search term I want to rank for, my home page currently appears on the 4th page of google. Should I direct all SEO traffic to my home page still? Or would I be better off creating an anchor page solely focused on the search term?

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    These 6 things you can do to optimize for your homepage SEO related things:

    1. Make sure that page title focuses on your brand name or main product;
    2. & a clear, recognizable logo in the upper left corner for branding;
    3. there should be a clear call-to-action that draws attention;
    4. don’t forget to structure your menu(!);
    5. provide OpenGraph and Twitter Cards for better social sharing;
    6. make sure the meta description is filled out, that it mentions your USPs and invites the visitor to your website;

    Optimizing your homepage is quite important. Here are some of the tips which will help you to do SEO for your homepage.

    Ensure it’s at least as good as your competitors’ homepages
    Aim to get visitors to click beyond your homepage.
    Make it immediately clear as to whom you are and what you do.
    Make it easy to skim read.
    Include your primary keyword target(s) in the title tag and h1 tag.
    Don’t use your homepage to target all of your keywords.
