Hello, how can I do proper keyword research without buying expensive SEO tools because I don't want to invest in SEO yet. I want to find low comp, low volume kw. Sorry for noob question, I am starting out.

why do you want low volume kw?... you probably want to find the highest volume with low comp :)
You can use google keyword planner tool, and there is a nice article here from Jan of last year about ranking in bing/google for long tail keywords, I'm sure you can find it pretty quickly with the search bar.

KW Finder and Keyword Revealer let you have free trial accounts.

I think Keysearch does too, and Jaaxy you get a trial account.

Use those to get a feel for them.

Have a read of this too; https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/this-is-how-i-do-a-keyword-research.919675/

Thank you guys, you helped me a lot. Do I really need expensive tools to rank sites around keywords with low comp?

There are free tools that you can use...
1. Google Trends
2. Google Keyword Planner
3. SemRush - you don't need to register
4. Bing Keyword Research - only searches from Bing and Yahoo

You don't need to purchase any keyword research tool. Some of the free tools can help you get started. Keyword Planner is still all I use, but you can use Keywords Everwhere if you have problems seeing the search volume. What's important is that you know how to analyze how difficult it is to rank for a particular term. This comes with experience, so you just have to try and experiment for yourself.

Try trial packs of paid tools or choose free keyword research tools. But that the modern keyword research can't give competition the old techniques..

Keyword everywhere extension is a good tool for keywords ideas.
