How to disvow effectively?

I am writing this as a question as I am not quite sure I know the best way.

Hope someone here can help?

I heard that with disvowing (not sue that's a word) you can get rid of all the not so great backlinks. It sounds great for a clean up it seems to involve sending messages to Google to explain you do not want any connection to the link.

I could potentially get rid of 40K rubishy backlinks from my domain how fantastic

Here's my worry if I send that many links to get disvowed (not a word ether) would that just make Google think I must be doing some sneaky link building or will they just not care?

I saw that cognitive SEO has a thing built in to do it bit of a hefty price tag for what it is.

Has anyone here used this method if so what's the best course of action take?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Well here's what I know:

Disavowing links doesn't mean you're doing spammy link building. Your website may have been hacked by those "Gucci Sh0es online" websites and needs a disavow.

Additionally, disavowing links is easy to do via Google Search Console. Check it out
