How to deal with pseudo professionals?

Hey guys want some ideas on how to deal with unprofessional service providers.

Let's say I've ordered SEO services from a specific provider. It was cheaper than usual but I've tried as it looked credible enough for me to start working together.

The first part of the work was amazing and everything is moving forward. It's not a scam and the person is still responding to me. However, link building techniques that they are using are just simply free website listings, domain listings, etc. It's easily found on google. I think this could be seen as a scam, right?

This is a hypothetical situation and our work has not ended yet so I cannot blame anyone just now but I see where it goes and the direction they are looking so far.

How would you handle this kind of situation?

That doesn’t insinuate it been a scam. You can find the free directories on Google (Good) but do you have the resources to put them all together? Contents , Time , Email

OK so it's not a total scam, I agree. The services are provided. But I can call it unprofessional low-quality service.

In my understanding, I hire professionals to work on ways I never thought about. I hire professionals to do the work in a professional matter. I think anyone can scrape info from google to get those databases for links and stuff (even for free and it would take no more than 1h). So I just see it as unprofessional service providers, that's it.

Am I the only one like this?

Actually, you scam yourself buying that links, the seller just provide you the same quality as your investment.
Not sure how much you pay for but I think is below 100 USD a month, imagine just a medium quality link is more than that.

It was more than that and the link building part was just one of the package deals. I know I scammed my self at this point, but just want to know some other opinions regarding this.

Advise for the future - never buy cheaper services and ask everything about it before you give your money away. We are living at the times when people are looking for easy money and usualy will reuse free tools to provide you with "pro" services. That's the worst part of IM nowadays.

I would never complain about the situation if the price difference would've been this big.

But I see it funny when people tries to state some argument without any of the inside info.

Yes im stepping on the same rake tbh..

Never gonna happen again in future tho. I will do everything by myself from now, lol. Thanks for the thoughts btw.

Do you really want me to answer this? It´s pretty straight forward to me. Unless the service you're received was different from the one advertised on this person service page then you have absolutely nothing to complain about here.

How would you handle this kind of situation?

Talk to the guy and be very clear, honest and straight forward with him and say something like "your results in regards to linkbuilding are not as expected so i would like for us to just focus on X tasks".

And just stop the linkbuilding part of the service and just focus on the other services since you´re fully satisfied with them.

That was the answer I was looking for.
And I really want you to answer this.

I understand absolutely everything clearly, IMHO it's a matter of honesty at this point. To sell stuff which you can get free online. It's not a scam, it's my own fault but it's not the way it should work. That's it.

As I mentioned above, I will avoid to pay for such people anymore.

My main idea for this thread was to raise the discussion, but so far majority of people came here just to blame me.. Well, that's internet, as one of the guys told me few days back. lol

Always ask yourself if you would do the same type of work for the money you spend. If yes you will be happy with the type of work and if not you will most likely recieve some garbage
