Hi,

Can someone tell me how I can de-index my old website from Google ?

Thanks

Delete the website in your cpanel, or change the nameservers to something that does not work. After a while, Google will deindex you.

Anyone had luck deindexing an entire site, then put all that content on another domain?

You can do this in .htaccess

It will be located in your file manager (cpanel)

Google will not deindex your site even if you block search engines or delete the whole site entirely. Whenever google index some pages, it require months to deindex those page provided those search engines are blocked to site or site is completely down without name servers.

Thanks

In your root directory. This will not de-index the site, but it will stop them from crawling you. Pick your favourite search engine and search robots.txt and you should find a lot of info about it.

Where is the robots.txt located ?

you probably never heard of google cache
google has all web data and holds for a while, even if you delete everything or stop spider from accessing the web

De-indexing a website is way more complicated from indexing it. Weird lol

I want to ask here again, in practice you basically cannot de-index an article on your page for a really long time? (you can delete it from cpanel, whole site, but article will still stay there, somewhere?) Or there is a way after all?

Why you want to de-index your aged website? Since it is aged one, you can sell it to those who needs it right.

Don't do it. Let your pages return HTTP Status 410 - Gone (404 can do but take long time).
Keep watching your webmaster tools account. You can see the pages dropping one by one. But it takes long time.

You can transfer the website to the new domain. And do a wild card permanent redirect(301) from the old domain to new domain.

Your old site is penalized. Then wait for the old domain to deindex. I had a website I tried to deindex, still has pages live after 10+ months.

Why do u want deindexed ur website ???

Delete your website and let it get removed from search through GWT.

If you are from European Union you can also submit it here. Google allows users here to request search removal because of European law.

Thank you all for answers! I've got it, there are 0 results for all of sentences (from articles) on google now.
