How to: create a thread

2.0 Update! ​

So, you've been having a read around on BHW and let's say you've got a question that hasn't been asked or answered already. It's time for you to create a thread.

First things first, have a look at the list of all of the forums and choose where your question will be best placed. Think about the people you want to answer your question, and which forums those people will be checking regularly.

Go to the forum you want to post in, and click 'Post thread', or you can type into the "thread title" box:



You will be taken to the thread editor. Type the title of your thread in the 'Thread title' box. Then you can add your content to the main editor underneath. When you've typed out what you want to say you can click on the 'Preview' button to see what your thread will look like when it's published. If you're happy you can click 'Post thread':



You can also add a poll if you want to and decide whether or not you want to watch the thread to receive alerts when other members reply.

When you click 'Post thread' your new thread will appear in the main list of the forum you chose to post in.

There are some sections that Newbies can't post in. Where are you trying to create a thread? These are the sections that are restricted: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/a-list-of-sections-with-restrictions.1051614/

Additionally, Jr VIPs with infarctions are also restricted in sections like Marketplace from posting a new thread.

There are 2 sections HAF and WTB where you can create a thread but can't response due to restrictions. For more details you can read rules/terms and conditions.

If you browse around the forum for few minutes, you will easily find the answer for your question.

You are welcome to open a new thread for discussions as well. Just be sure that there isn't such thread opened by another user already (Use the forum search functionality).
