It depends on what's your purpose for your blog. Wordpress and Wix have a lot of themes for starters.

you should try it by your self. in my experience i just try blogger and wordpress. in my experience blogger is simple feature than wordpress. with wordpress you can explore anything because many plugin you can install in your site. but in blogger i think you need some coding skill

Very unpopular opinion, but I've shifted away from Wordpress entirely (except for one clients' site) to Ghost. Ghost is the lightest CMS, uses markup, and is optimized out of the box. Perfect for blogging.

If you want to do more with your site (forum, directory, ridiculous features, etc.) then yeah, go with Wordpress I say.
